The vinery (vignoble inside French, vigna or vigneto around Italian, vinha in Portuguese, viña or even half-dozenñedo around Spanish, Weinberg in German) is a place in which grapes are grown for making wine, raisins, or table grapes.

Vinery come typically in hillsides & in soil of marginal value to other plants. This is virtually all typically around an attempt to maximize a total of sun that lessens in the vicinity, so a few of the better wines came on quite steep hills, conditions which would produce virtually all more agrarian products uneconomical.
